Cavalry captain Audie Murphy has plenty of trouble on his hands when Apache chief Cochise goes on the warpath - and it's vital that a shipment of new repeating rifles reaches the fort at Apache Wells. Captain Coburn is sent to escort the vital rifles back and he finds that the Indians aren't the only enemy. There's a busted sergeant plotting his revenge and men who are eager enough to make their fortunes given a chance.
