In March 1997, Sandra Downes was told that her 20-year-old son Marlon had been found dead in his police cell in Harlesden, north-west London, two days after being arrested for alleged rape.
She recalls her quest to find out more about her son's death and argues that the inquest system should bechanged to allow families of the deceased greater access to information.

The first of three programmes exploring the human stories behind the heroes of flight. The Red Baron. With 80 confirmed victories, Germany's Baron Manfred von Richthofen was the most highly skilled and successful fighter pilot of the First World War. But he was increasingly disillusioned by the accompanyingcarnageand tormented by the death of his comrades. Drawing on the Richthofen family papers, and featuring interviews with relatives of Richthofen and the descendents of some of his victims, new light is shed on the man known as "the Red Baron".
