Mela is the largest gathering of people in the world. In February of this year, 15 million people came to the holiest place in India - where two great rivers meet.
Holy men, mystics and living saints gathered in one huge crowd to take a holy bath. People came on elephants, camels, trains and bullock carts for an extraordinary act of faith that will not take place again for another 12 years.
Dust and Ashes discovers how and why it happened through the eyes of three people: one of Hinduism's five pontiffs, a rupee billionaire pilgrim and the man who organised this mega-event.
By the end, 38,000 people were reported missing and 252 never found their way home.
