Anna Neagle gives one of her most memorable performances as Odette Churchill, the World War II resistance leader who returned to her native France to obtain valuable secret information from the Germans. Her subsequent capture led to torture at the hands of the Gestapo in which she displayed outstanding courage. Herbert Wilcox directed this true and intensely moving story.

This evening the second part of the 1982 final is played in front of a packed and enthusiastic audience at Jollees, Stoke-on-Trent. BBC television brings you live coverage of the remaining six sets and highlights of the first part of the final which was played this afternoon.
Eric Bristow , World No 1, is determined to make it three in a row. JOHN LOWE , beaten finalist so many times last year, is desperate to regain the title he lost in 1980. JOCKY WILSON , on his present form, could be a new name inscribed on the trophy.
