A weekly view of the countryside. Introduced by Julian Pettifer The Gamekeepers' Fair
Once a year, gamekeepers from all over the country get together on the Packington Estate at Meriden to exchange views on rearing game, catching poachers and promoting the welfare of wildlife and the countryside.
Gordon Beningfield and Phil Drabble went along with JULIAN PETTIFER to meet the gamekeepers, watch the gun-dog trials and clay-pigeon shoot, and to discuss the effects of game management on the rest of our countryside.

Reflections in a Mirror?: part 2
- There is a necessarily prickly relationship between broadcasters and politicians whichever country you happen to be in.' (BRIAN WENHAM, Head of Current
Affairs Group, BBCtv)
Part 1 last night gave a unique behind-thenscenes view of how the American Broadcasting Company televised the 1976 Republican Convention.
The first half of tonight's programme gives a similar perspective on how the BBC brought the last Labour and Conservative Party Conferences to the British public.
Then broadcasters from ABC and the BBC discuss with the politicians how the relationships and techniques differ in the two countries. Are the two television systems merely reflecting events, or shaping them for the screen? Has the televising of politics changed the democratic process, for good or ill?
