Tonight from BBC North
The Boy from Bowers Row
Bowers Row was a tiny mining village near Castleford in Yorkshire. Today it no longer exists - and with its disappearance, a whole lifestyle has vanished. Tonight Jim Bullock , OBE, talks about his childhood in Bowers Row. He describes what it was like to be the youngest of 12 children in a four-roomed miner's cottage - and to start work down the pit at 13.
