World Championship Boxing from Las Vegas
The WBC Welterweight Championship of the World (12 rounds)
Colin Jones (Gorseinon, Wales) v
Milton McCrory (Detroit, USA)
Live, exclusive coverage of the eagerly awaited return fight for the welterweight title left vacant by the brilliant Sugar Ray Leonard. In Reno last March, the two men fought each other to a standstill in a sensational and controversial draw. Jones is a powerhouse puncher who has won 21 of his 26 contests inside the distance - twice despatching Kirkland Laing and destroying Hans Henrik Palm to win the European title with a single left hook. McCrory, with the superlative left jab, is a graduate of the famous Kronk school of boxing in Detroit and his record of 21 fights unbeaten speaks for itself. Commentator HARRY CARPENTER
