Today Dennis Skllllcorn meets Monica Coleman , a self-taught artist who found that the influence of the forest inspired her to start painting. With her old dog Cindy as her only companion she seeks out locations where she can spend a tranquil day, preferably where a lazy stream wanders beneath overhanging birch trees. Dennis met Monica at Moyles Court, near Fordingbridge and nearby he found Ronald Hayward busy thatching an old cottage. Ronald is carrying on a family tradition that was started by his great-grandfather and will continue through his own son, Brian. For the Haywards it's an old craft that will never die.

The second of three programmes In the 1930s the world was opened up for airline passengers and the flying boat took pride of place in the development of new routes. First was the largest aircraft in the world, the huge 12-engined German Dornier flying boat, soon to be followed by the graceful Empire flying boats of Imperial Airways reaching out to Africa, the Far East and Australia.
David Lomax continues the story of the flying boats and those who flew in them until 1939 when the transatlantic service was started, only to be sharply interrupted by war -when the flying boat had a new role to play.

In State Secrets Ed Boyle follows the trail of a confidential ' Think Tank' report from its leak somewhere in Whitehall, via Stockholm and Amsterdam, back to a public library shelf in London. Its contents could affect the welfare of all of us, so are those who passed the brown paper parcel along its way criminals or men of conscience?
Then he visits a Yorkshire couple who believe that their neighbour - a giant chemical plant-is endangering their health and safety. Local officials know the facts because, they say, they need to, but don't the couple - indeed the public-have a 'right to know as well?
For 'it's not just laws that keep things hidden, it's tradition, the British way of doing things ... not so much the legislation more a way of life.
