Highlights of Moldova v England, Glenn Hoddle 's opening match as coach and the national team's first qualifying match for the 1998 World Cup tournament, to be staged in France.
With Italy, Poland and Georgia providing the other opposition in this tough group, a good start is vital to bolster confidence for the tests that lie ahead. Hopes are high for Hoddle after his predecessor, Terry Venables , took the team to the semi-finals of Euro 96.
But Moldova were good enough to defeat Wales in one of the qualifying matches for the same tournament.

"Asked" to drive his probation officer'sgirlfriend and a busload of orphans to Washington State, compulsive offender Joe Braxton is hardly in a position to object- especially when five to ten years in the state penitentiary is the alternative.
