"Asked" to drive his probation officer'sgirlfriend and a busload of orphans to Washington State, compulsive offender Joe Braxton is hardly in a position to object- especially when five to ten years in the state penitentiary is the alternative. However, a few days into the trip, after sleeping rough, getting stuck in the mud and tangling with the Ku Klux Klan, prison is looking like a holiday in comparison.
