In the attractive Palm Court Lounge, 21 beautiful girls have all been invited to an elegant cocktail party during which one lucky contestant will be crowned Miss Great Britain 1983. The girls can also be seen in their autumn clothes, recorded on location at Leighton Hall , Lancashire.

As part of an escape attempt Red Fletcher leads a group of fellow convicts in a successful takeover of the isolation block of a State Penitentiary. The situation is complicated by the need to hold several guards hostage - and to restrain the homicidal tendencies of an unbalanced prisoner.
