Almost 50 years ago, 20-year-old national serviceman Ronald Maddison died while taking part in experiments at the Porton Down Ministry of Defence airbase on Salisbury Plain. At the time, explanations for his death were not forthcoming. However, shedding light on secret research from the Cold War, this film reveals that Maddison was used in nerve-gas trials by scientists who knew the risks of exposing volunteers to such agents.
