Bridget Jones Night
8.55pm BBC2 You don't have to be a Bridget Jones clone to enjoy this evening of light-hearted programmes devoted to "singletons" and, of course, if you were a Bridget Jones clone, you probably wouldn't admit it anyway.
Inspired by Helen Fielding's bestselling book and newspaper column (the witty diary of a single woman with low self-esteem and an obsession with calorie counting, scratch cards and giving up smoking), the evening starts with How to Meet the Perfect Man.
There's a selection of real-life Bridget Joneses, a segment about single women in TV sitcoms and dramas, and a girlie discussion led by Mariella Frostrup. Wonder how many calories you'll burn off if you watch the lot...
