Ten years after the riots on the Broadwater Farm Estate in Tottenham, unemployment among young black men in the area is running at nearly 70 percent - three times that of young white men.
Patrick Younge reports on how equal opportunities policies have failed a whole generation of black Britons, and on grassroots hopes that a racially based "black economy" could provide the answer.
