Now he turns his satirical attention to late-night television in his new persona as chat-show host Larry Sanders. Veteran Hollywood actor Rip Torn plays his hard-bitten producer and Jeffrey Tambor his on-screen sidekick.
In the first episode, in which actor Robert Hays guest stars, Sanders is faced with a dilemma - he is reluctant to endorse the product of his show's sponsor.
