Written and narrated by Libby Purves
Tim Severin and his modern heroes, in search of the legend of Jason and the Argonauts, find some uncanny echoes of the past.... In the Dardanelles they are blessed with the fair winds that sped the original Argo on its way. And later storms blow the 20th-century voyagers ashore near the site of one of Jason's famous and tragic adventures.
Meanwhile, as Argo sails from Greek to Turkish waters, the world of modern politics is never far away. Assistant producer

Eight programmes on 'healthy' cooking presented by Judith Hann

If you think healthy food has to be brown and boring you're in for a big surprise. Even cheap food needn't be dreary when the recipes come from Antonio Carluccio , an Italian restaurateur, and Claudia Roden , a Middle
Eastern cookery writer. They both come from cultures where people stay healthy on the cheapest of ingredients, and they pass on some of their tips here.

An Out of Court special
In April 1984 a dead baby was washed up on a beach in south-west Ireland. It had been stabbed 28 times.
Police investigations led rapidly to the confession of a young unmarried mother, Joanne Hayes. She admitted she had murdered this baby and her family confessed they had helped her. But within days she changed her story dramatically. She took the police to the corpse of another baby which had died when she gave birth to it. So why had she confessed to murder? Could she be, as the police maintained in the face of forensic evidence, the mother of both babies? Public incredulity led to a public inquiry. Crime, sex, a young girl and the police were ingredients that fascinated the world's press for months. Now the inquiry's report is published and its findings are very controversial.
In an exclusive interview Joanne Hayes talks to Marian Finucane , who examines how Joanne came to be at the centre of a legal storm that may have serious repercussions for police and lawyers in both Ireland and Britain.

A series of films about the way we live now. Schoolgirl Mum
This year around 10,000 girls will become pregnant before their 16th birthday. Only one in three will have their babies. Maxine from
Liverpool, Fernanda from Fulham and Trudi from Southwark all became pregnant at 15. All chose to become mothers. Who are the girls who begin sex and pregnancy while still at school? What do their parents think? How do their boyfriends react? Schoolgirl Mum is the the personal and moving story of a small group of girls who are usually just part of the annual statistics. They are the age-group most affected by the arguments raging over the Gillick case - whether or not teenagers under 16 should be able to get contraceptive advice without their parents' consent. In this film Maxine, Fernanda, Trudi and their friends and families talk openly about teenage sex, contraception, abortion and motherhood.
