Four films about people with a passion to possess great art and the money to indulge it. Written and narrated by Harriet Crawley
3: Henry P. Mcllhenny 'I always have had this terrific acquisitive urge. I can't resist buying things. It's a disease. You know, Renoir said that all collectors are harmless maniacs.'
Henry Mcllhenny lives with his art. His house in Philadelphia is filled with great French paintings of the 19th century, including
'Moulin Rouge' by Toulouse Lautrec; 'Rain' by Van Gogh ; Cezanne's portrait of his wife; Renoir's 'Mile Legrand'. He has always had the money to buy, and with unerring taste he has assembled over 50 years an extraordinary collection worth millions. Film cameraman KEITH HOPPER Film editor CHRIS WADE
