At the last estimate there were something like 200 small groups playing live music in the Leeds area alone. Most have other jobs, some are unemployed. Some hope that one day they will make it and make a living by playing, others simply play for the hell of it.
Tonight's film looks at just a small cross-section of the grass roots of music in the city, hears a little of the hows and the whys, and a lot of the music. Whatever your tastes, from punk to jazz, folk to electronic, you should hear enough to convince you that Leeds is in fact a town like any other town. A town like New Orleans?
