Leonard Matlovich was a Vietnam veteran with an impeccable 12-year military record-until he declared his homosexuality. This, the US Air Force maintained, meant instant discharge on the alleged grounds that a gay serviceman might impair discipline, morale, and security'. Sgt Matlovich decided to fight the judgment and face a court martial rather than accept the antiquated ruling. This powerful television film depicts the true story of his fight.
