This colourful spectacular from Hong Kong is loosely based on events in the Chinese Imperial court at the end of the last century. The Dowager Empress, a former concubine, has ruled China for almost 50 years although her nephew, Kuang Hsu, is the nominal Emperor. The court is full of intrigue and when the Emperor attempts some reform, his aunt decides that he must be distracted. He shall have a concubine - or perhaps two would be better ...

This third series of Bullseye has a truly international flavour with 16 champion darts players from the USA, Canada, Belgium, Sweden, Singapore and Great Britain competing for the BBC2 Trophy and first prize of £2,000; each match is the best of seven legs-the final, best of 11. Tonight features two matches from the first round:
Luc Marreel (Belgium) v Stefan Lord (Sweden)
Eric Bristow (England) v Ceri Morgan (Wales)
The first match is a continental confrontation between the Belgian number one, LUC MARREEL, and Swedish captain, STEFAN LORD , who on paper is the stronger player - but Marreel is capable of turning the form book.
Welsh number one, CERI MORGAN , takes on the World Champion, ERIC BRISTOW , who will be determined to win one of the few major titles which has eluded him. Introduced by Peter Purves Commentators
