Leicestershire, winners in 1974 and runners-up last season, started well this year and went quickly to the top of the table. That's where captain Ray Illingworth hopes to see them again in September. PETER WALKER introduces the programme, which includes news of today's other fixtures:

Warwickshire v Yorkshire
Worcestershire v Gloucestershire

The setting is the misty blue mountains of the Hindu Kush in North Pakistan. Above towers snow-capped Mount Tirich Mir: below are the green and fertile valleys of the Kalash. The Kalash tribe have lived here for hundreds, perhaps thousands of years; an independent culture and religion, a lost kingdom of their own surrounded by a sea of Islam.
The women are unveiled and wear flowing brown robes decorated with cowrie shells. The men work in sparkling, flooded rice paddies terraced out of the hillside. Everywhere is the sound of mountain streams and the music of flutes.

Purely for Pleasure
The Wallace Collection
What do an 18th-century music party,- a Rubens landscape and a wrought-iron staircase redeemed from the scrapheap have in common?
They are just three of the many remarkable exhibits in London's Wallace Collection chosen as personal favourites by the art historian Kenneth Clark , Francis Watson (formerly the Director of the Collection) and a group of regular visitors, including a housewife, a journalist, a docker and a sales distributor.
This collection of art treasures was formed over a period of 150 years by an eccentric English family who collected works of art just because they were pleasing. In this film, members of the public describe the pleasure they get from wandering round this unique collection, which is more like a house than a museum.
