An American interrogation expert has hooked up plants to a lie detector... and claims they can read his mind. In this film some of his experiments are shown, using a split-screen technique which allows you to make up your own mind about extra-sensory perception in plants.

Botanists are sceptical but they admit there are many mysteries about plants. By what mechanism does a plant detect gravity? How does it perceive light? How can a pea tendril feel the object it coils round? How does a Venus fly trap react so fast? What are the tiny electrical impulses within plants?
