with Peter Seabrook visits the Great Garden of Pitmedden, Aberdeenshire.
This 17th-century formal garden has been re-created over the past 20 years since its gift, with an endowment for its upkeep, to the National Trust of Scotland. Over 27,000 plants are raised each year to form the intricate parterres and heraldic patterns of living colour.

Silent Speech
-a study of non-verbal communication in young children.
Raphael is three years old. He has a bar of chocolate. Another child approaches him; instead of offering him a bite, Raphael responds by waving his arms up and down. What do the expressions and movements of children mean?
Professor Hubert Montagner of the University of Besancon in Eastern France has been studying - and filming-such scenes for the last seven years. He finds there is a connection between body language and the levels of certain hormones in the children and that they match the hormone levels and body language of the mothers. (Fathers do not seem to be involved.)
The programme shows how Raphael's responses switched when his mother's behaviour towards him changed.
