It is live television ... for the viewer it is the world as it is. An air of immediacy.
A pretty hectic 50 minutes. Often heated.
Surprisingly reasonable views from all sides.
Controversial; Courageous.
A major new television series.

In the year 1612, nine women, two men and a child were ' taken for witches' in the Forest of Pendle in the Countie of Lancashire. After months of confinement together in a dungeon of Lancaster Castle, ten were brought to trial, convicted and hanged. This stark story opens with a 16-year-old girl Alizon, a crow-and a pedlar on his way to Colne Fair.
Thoughtful, powerful and polished - this dramatisation took flight. (guardian) Producer DAVID ROSE
