Ulster v Leinster
Ireland's domestic rugby scene is dominated by the Provincial Championship. Last season's title was shared between Leinster, Munster and Ulster, with Connacht taking the wooden spoon. Yesterday's match brought together the two sides so far undefeated this season. It also presented in opposition two members of the victorious 74 Lions captaining their respective provinces: TOM GRACE of Leinster and STEWART MCKINNEY taking over Ulster's captaincy from the mercurial Mike Gibson.

Return to the Punjab
Narrated by ANDREW FAULDS
The Punjab in north west India is the homeland of the Sikh people. In a land fought over by Muslim and Hindu, the Sikhs created a unique religion in which they reconciled elements of both. Famous as warriors for 500 years, they are also noted for the extent of their migration around the world. This is the story of one Sikh family living in England who returned to the Punjab. Their children have little memory of their homeland, yet their schoolgirl daughter is going back to marry a man she has never seen. Her traditional wedding is the climax of this film, after which she returns to school in England.

Giacomo Puccini, Master Craftsman Narrated and conducted by Bernard Keeffe
Puccini is the undisputed box-office king of the opera house. There's hardly a theatre in the world, from Stockholm to Sydney, that can survive a season without putting on one of his three best-sellers, La Bohème, Tosca and Madam Butterfly. What is it about his music that has made the public itself decide this? In this informal workshop-style analysis programme BERNARD KEEFFE concentrates on the masterly dramatic timing, the cunning choice of libretto, the melodic appeal and orchestral craftsmanship that set Puccini apart With
