This week includes: Maurice Sendak - for many the best illustrator of children's books in the world. Among his outstanding works are "Where the Wild Things Are" and "In the Night Kitchen". Sendak came over from America for the opening of an exhibition of his original drawings which is now showing at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. Robert Robinson went round the exhibition with him.

Linking these scenes, interviews with some of Al Bowlly's friends, fans, and fellow-musicians: Roy Fox, Ray Noble, Nat Gonella, Tiny Winters, Joe Crossman, Monia Liter, Sid Colin, Joyce Stone, Hilda Dawes and Lillian Dawes.
