The only hospital in the world which does heart transplants routinely is Stanford University Medical Center in the United States. It is also the most successful. Of 50 people alive today with transplanted hearts, 30 owe their lives to Stanford, and some of these have survived as long as five years. Stanford's success is no coincidence.
