In the story chair, Philip Bate

Every day this week Play School starts with a Lucky Dip-and Phyllida Law and Gordon Clyde really don't know beforehand what to expect in each surprise packet.
Tuesday is the highlight of the week with the story of Christopher Columbus to celebrate his Day. In contrast, Thursday's picture-book is 'The Sun Egg', a modern Swedish fairy tale by Elsa Beskow which was shown last April. Philip Bate will be sitting in the visitor's chair again, wearing that special red waistcoat for storytelling.
