Michael Moore, presenter of the Emmy-award winning series TV Nation, returns to BBC2 in a feature-length documentary in which he gives a personal view of America as the new millennium approaches. Filmed in the weeks leading up to last November's presidential election, Moore visits 47 American cities in 50 days while on a whirlwind tour to promote his new book. He shows how a presidential campaign affects the lives of ordinary people and talks to some of the millions who feel the political system has failed them. As he journeys through America's heartland, Moore's determination to explore what he sees as the country's fundamental problems produces some eventful moments. This frank and humorous film also features Moore's stand-up routine as he performs in each of the cities the tour visits.
