It's 2am in the Southern
Indian Ocean and a storm is raging.
Mike Golding is half-way through his attempt to sail single-handed round the world "the wrong way" and he's finding it hard to stay awake, "lhatethis," he confides to the camera.
Golding set sail from
Southampton last year following in the wake of Chay Blyth , who in 1971 became the first person to sail non-stop round the world from east to west. He took days. Golding's aim was to knock 100 days off that.
With the aid of three cameras he filmed his attempt, a story of drama and courage but also a voyage of self -discovery. Producer Tony Rayner

Michael Ignatieff explores the quest for nationhood in Scotland. A history of separatist ambitions, exaggerated in recent years by the frustrations felt at the return of Conservative governments, in spite of Scottish voting habits, has led to deep rooted cynicism and disaffection. Anti-English sentiment is rife and incomers are commonly referred to as White Settlers, with a small band of extremist nationalists, Settler-Watch, attacking property and urging other extreme forms of protest.
