Since spiders first appeared on the earth 350 million years ago they have inspired fear and respect. They are found all over the world and some are poisonous. This film looks at the development from egg to adulthood of a variety of spiders in Finland.

This drama about black life in the American South, made in 1964, is being shown on the 25th anniversary of Martin Luther King 's death. Malcolm X considered it "the most important film ever made about the black experience in America". It is the story of an itinerant railworker who falls for the educated daughter of an Alabama preacher.
