Angela Rippon looks ahead to next week's Crufts Dog Show. She meets the Marchioness of Tavistock and her Pekingese Bamboo.
There's a visit to Chris Amoo whose dog became last year's Crufts Supreme Champion, and an interview with George Baxter , owner of the runner-up - he only took up dog showing four years ago. There are dogs which help disabled people, a visit to the world's largest dog show, and Kennel Club vet Mike Stockman is on hand to see dogs working in water, and to look at some stunning show dogs.

In 1964 blacks in Mississippi were encouraged to register to vote. Three of the civil rights activists were arrested. Within hours of their release, they were murdered. What had been hailed as 'freedom summer' turned into violent confrontation. On the political front black members of a new party decided to challenge the all-white delegation to the Democratic Convention.

The biggest civil engineering project in Europe, it will cost £5 billion and take six years to build. Its 50km length will make it the longest undersea tunnel in the world.
