Tall Sails on the Nile
For over 5,000 years Egypt's culture and economy has depended on sailing vessels on the River Nile. Today, vital cargoes are still carried by feluccas, the traditional lateen-rigged craft of this part of the world.
While on the Nile in Upper Egypt the tourists find the feluccas the coolest way to travel, offering the ideal way to see the ancient tombs and temples along this historic waterway.

A Gambol on Steam
Fame and Fortune are at stake when
Dr Tony Marchington , an industrial chemist, sets out to organise the north west's largest gathering of steam traction engines, in summer 1985.
It will be a meeting of friends bonded by their passion for the power and precision of a bygone era. It is a gamble for Tony Marchington ; his obsession has driven him to put at risk his most treasured possessions - a pair of matched steam ploughing engines - Fame and Fortune.
