David McVicar 's new version of Mozart's ever-popular final opera is performed at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden. Mixing the comic and the heroic, the musical kaleidoscope ranges from the lyricism of the young lovers Tamino and Pamina to the popular tunes of Papageno and Papagena - and beyond.
