Beginning a four-part Correspondent special in which reporter Ben Anderson visits the countries branded "evil" by George W Bush. His first destination is North Korea, a hermit kingdom which lives with paranoid propaganda and fear of nuclear war.
(Continues tomorrow at 11.20pm)
(First shown on BBC4)

TV Insider Danger man
After working on Donal Maclntyre's controversial investigation into a Kent care home, reporter Ben Anderson (right) has again gone under cover, this time for his own series. In Holidays in the Axis of Evil (11.20pm BBC2), he takes tourist trips to the six countries the USA has labelled the enemies of international law and order, starting with North Korea. Not that Anderson went entirely unnoticed. "We were detained by the authorities in Iran," says Anderson, 28. "They accused us of working for MI5, and interrogated us for about five hours every night for a week. It's a real shame because the result is the complete opposite of the film I wanted to make about Iran." Not that it's deterred him from under-cover work. Next, Anderson tells RT, he's planning to go to the Philippines in search of al-Qaeda. Clearly, Anderson's is a name to watch out for.
