First shown in the 40 Minutes series
They wanted to make him the next Sinatra. They flew him to America to co-star with Marilyn Monroe. But in only two years Frankie Vaughan was back.
The Britain he'd conquered in the 50s was not the Britain of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. But his hard-core fans stayed faithful. Frankie survived, and 20 years on, his darkling good looks, and repertoire of evergreens, are still wowing the middle-aged ladies who fell for him as teenage girls.

(Los Olvidados) starring
Alfonso Mejia , Roberto Cobo
Luis Bunuel was one of the great masters of the cinema. A major season of his films begins with this tough and uncompromising picture of juvenile crime in Mexico City. A prize winner at Cannes in 1951, the film is in stark contrast with the surreal comedies of the director's later years. Jaibo, a ruthless young thug determined to prove his proficiency in every branch of crime, beats to death a friend he thinks has betrayed him. The murder is witnessed by Pedro who has not yet joined the delinquents' gang and whose fight to lead a better life has tragic results.
