A series of seven programmes which examine the impact of air travel on ourselves and the world we live in. Presented by Julian Pettifer 5: Travelling for Fun
Seven out of every ten people who fly are on holiday. Most pleasure-seekers are on package deals chasing the same ' unspoilt ' beaches, beauty spots, and places of interest.
What does air travel mean to them and to the places they visit? What is the social impact of millions of package air tourists descending on countries, large and small, developed and under-developed?
Travelling for Fun examines the advantages and disadvantages of mass air-tourism in a variety of spectacular and unusual locations, and questions a wide cross-section of people around the world about that dread subject ' tourist pollution '.

Starring Gene Hackman, Al Pacino

Max and Lionel are two of the world's losers. When they meet, hitch-hiking on a deserted California road, they strike up an unlikely, but deep, relationship. Max, newly-released from prison, is older, tougher. 'Lion', back from six years at sea, is a natural clown, with little respect for authority.
They cross country, hoping to start a new life together in Pittsburgh. But the duo have a knack of attracting trouble and their trip proves savagely eventful before the disturbing journey's end.
