It is not true that fat adults in general eat more than thin ones. It is not true that an overfed baby will become a fat adult. So why do some people stay thin and others get fat? The answer seems to lie in the strange action of ' brown fat' cells.

Barbara Thompson , classically trained jazz multi-instrumentalist on tenor, alto and soprano saxophone, clarinet and flute, is married to Jon Hiseman , self-taught virtuoso drummer, who until recently led the successful rock band COLOSSEUM.
Earlier this year they decided for the first time to put their musical relationship on a regular basis. Jon joined Barbara's quartet, PARAPHERNALIA, with COLIN DUDMAN on keyboards and DILL KATZ on bass guitar.
