The Search has taken three years on four continents, and more than 150,000 miles of travel for the searcher RONALD EYRE.
But where has it left him? With a series of questions which he tries to answer in company with the many people he has met, and talked to, on his travels. Questions like:
'You're not a religious man yourself, are you? '
... Religion's on the way out, isn't it? '
'Which one's best? '
... ' How do I cope with death? '
'Between you and me', goes the first question, 'do you really believe in God? '

To the Limit and Beyond
The houselights dim, the band strikes ' Hearts of Oak' and two spotlights pierce down on the sailors marching, arms interlocked, faces tensely set, into the arena. It is one of the highlights of the London season: the Royal Navy's field-gun competition at the Royal Tournament. It is so fast that spectators cannot hope to comprehend the brilliance of the most violent time-and-motion action in the world. Nor can they imagine the year of discipline and blood and amputations that goes into the forging of a field-gunner. Written and narrated by tan Wooldridge

Southern Nevada, 1957. US Army GIs crouch in foxholes as an atomic bomb explodes one mile away. People living in nearby towns were told that the nuclear radiation from these tests was harmless. But an investigative journalist who visited the area didn't believe the experts. Paul Jacobs followed the story for 20 years before dying himself from cancer last year.
This WNET film caused enormous controversy when it was shown in the USA earlier this year.
