The Case of the Ancient Astronauts Are we descendants of space men? Was civilisation created by intelligent beings who landed on Earth in prehistoric times? The Swiss author Erich von Daniken believes he can prove it was.
His evidence includes what look like astronauts' airfields in Peru, ancient carvings depicting space men in Mexico, Ecuador and Africa, and clues that point to extraterrestrial intervention in the building of the Egyptian pyramids, the statues of Easter Island and the massive stone monuments in South America.
Has von Daniken proved his extraordinary case that creatures from other worlds have walked on Earth?

Federico Fellini has called his feature film portrait of Rome ' a nostalgic, carefree diary' but he alternates his straightforward recollection of life 40 years ago with some bizarre aspects of the present, fact shading imperceptibly into fantasy. A fashion show
. becomes an ecclesiastical fancy-dress parade, a traffic jam an inferno of carnage. Fellini's is an outrageous world of eating, sleeping and making love. His Romans are living life to the full.
