Exactly ten years ago, in September, 1968, a priest called Padre Pio died in a remote convent near Foggia in the South of Italy. For 50 years he had borne on his body five bleeding wounds corresponding to the five wounds of Christ. Countless people believed he worked miracles - that he cured the sick, was capable of being in two places at once, and that he had a terrifying insight into men's minds. One hundred thousand people attended his funeral; they included the local people who loved him and had built a thriving tourist industry during his lifetime. This film, originally made during the last months of Padre Pio's life, revisits the town where he lived to see what has happened in the ten years since his death and investigates the curious fact that after he died it was found that the wounds on his body - the stigmata - had completely disappeared.

The true story of the biggest fraud of all time. A dramatised account of how Equity Funding Corporation of America, a rather over-enterprising Los Angeles insurance company, produced two billion dollars' worth of phoney insurance. In 1969 two young executives used
Equity Funding's computer to balance an error in the company's accounts. But the computer gradually took over. The auditors of the Corporation were so impressed by the computer's printouts that the temptation to escalate the fraud became irresistible.
By 1C73 Equity Funding had become a financial giant rivalling the largest American Corporations. But a number of suspicious auditors were closing in. In comic detail we see the conspirators fobbing them off with increasingly ludicrous ploys. and the story climaxes with the arrest of the computer.
