Part 2: The Difficult Bit
Last week's programme followed the adventures and misadventures of four men in three massive 40-ton lorries who left England seven days ago on a 5,000-mile journey through 11 countries. Their destination, Doha - capital of the newly-rich oil Emirate of Qatar. This week it's ' Goodbye Europe' as they set out over the Bosphorus bridge into the emptiness of Asia Minor - ahead, the Middle East and Arabia. This is ' the difficult bit', in some places there will be no road at all.
Not so many years ago this journey might have been considered a major piece of world exploration. Now for these four drivers it's just a job, but not an easy one. Narrator BENNY GREEN

There's something about the romance of the Wild West that stirs the blood, but for DAVE RIO it became a total obsession. He spent every hour of his leisure living like a Hollywood cowboy, even to the point of adopting his Western-style name by deed poll. In 1976 Dave Rio was the fastest gun in Britain and at the National Fast Draw Championships he hoped to come out on top again, but like the old days of the Wild West, there were plenty of challengers at the shoot-out for the title.

Jerome Epstein described his film adaptation of Elmer Rice 's play as ' a labour of love ' and his enthusiasm has added a lyricism and charm missing from the original. For 25 years Mr Zero has been a downtrodden book-keeper in a big store. His only refuge from a nagging wife is an imaginary love affair with Daisy, a girl at work. Then he learns that he has been made redundant by an adding machine.
