A second chance to see Nigel Calder's report on the challenging and unfamiliar ideas emerging from current research into the laws of creation.
The past year has seen a giant step forward along a line of discoveries that future generations will recognise as one of the glories of our age. The strong evidence for a quality called 'charm' helps to make sense of the cosmic forces that build stars and atoms and living things. Enigmatic 'black holes' in space are becoming more credible. And the searchers describe how the wonderful variety in nature all come out of a single primeval Big Bang.

Experiences of joy, sorrow, bereavement, doubt - or inner moments of truth that may defy rational explanation.
In these programmes people are invited to give first-hand accounts of something that has real personal significance for them. 1: Trying to go on Jane Ewart Biggs 's husband Christopher was assassinated on 21 July 1976, 12 days after he became Britain's Ambassador in Dublin.
' I felt if I worked towards turning the sense of loss and waste into something positive, trying to make at least something constructive come out of this destruction, then this might help and also it would help me not to feel any bitterness against the purposelessness and cruelty of the act.'

Rabbits -
Wanted Dead or Alive?
Narrator JULIAN PETTIFER
Love them or hate them, few people fail to be fascinated by the rabbit. Fewer still know of its strange habits and extraordinary history.
Brought to Britain by the Normans as a valued source of meat and fur, it came to be loathed by farmers. Introduced to Australia for sport, it caused a major ecological disaster. Faced with direct competition from the tremendously successful rabbit, man resorted to the ultimate weapon - biological warfare - with myxomatosis.
What of the rabbit now? Has it changed its habits to combat myxomatosis and is the disease less deadly? Can there ever be room for man and the rabbit?

From the BBC studios in Manchester, Brian Trueman takes a non-metropolitan look at topics and issues likely to affect our lives in 1977. Cartoonist Bill Tidy and reporter Felicity Goodey join him to explore a different subject each week in a variety of ways.
And the people themselves, an invited audience, will be adding their voices to the topic under discussion.

Arthur Rubinstein
Love of Life
This week the great Polish pianist celebrates his 90th birthday.
All his life he has been not only a remarkable musician but a compulsive talker, traveller and bonvivant. This film, made when he was in his early 80s, is a kind of notebook, filmed in Paris, New York, Iran and Israel. He reminisces about people he has known, revisits places where he lived and talks about his early life and his abiding passion for music.
