Six explorations with Professor W. G. Hoskins
4: Landscape of Peace and War
Rural Kent seems an unlikely place for an early industrial landscape - particularly an industry of war. But traces of man's activity can still be seen. Professor Hoskins pieces together the evidence from an old water-mill, a ruined Abbey, a rich Victorian's estate, the very attractive Kentish towns and villages and some natural-looking ponds.
