A Yugoslav film with English sub-titles

A slender, delicate, and sensitive young girl finds that her qualities are not appreciated in a peasant village where the beech tree is more valuable than the birch.
The Birch Tree was shown at the 1967 Pula Film Festival. Cameraman Tomislav Pinter received the award for the best photography for his work on the picture.
