This series is for people who like working with their hands. It will explore the characteristics of different materials - clay, paint, wood, metal, ink, and those used in making a collage. Robin Pitman, Head of the Art Department at the North Bucks College of Education, John Beard and Anthony Thornton, recently out of art school, will be experimenting in the studio with the material involved, and making things out of it. John Barnicoat, Head of the Art History Department at the Maidstone College of Art, will be showing films of well-known artists like Picasso, Giacometti, Barbara Hepworth, Karel Appel, working with clay, wood, paint, etc.
