Science and religion make uneasy bedfellows, and the more science reveals about the universe, the more challenging the moral questions become. Radio 3 goes to Birmingham's Thinktank Theatre at Millennium Point to debate the shifting balance between science and religion. Chaired by Trevor Phillips and with contributions from the floor, the panel includes Dr Denis Alexander , a geneticist and member of Christians in Science;
Professor Peter Atkins , a chemist at Oxford University; psychologist Professor Helen Haste from Bath University; Professor Ziauddin Sardar , who has written extensively about the role of science in Islam; and moral philosopher Mary Midgley.
