A leading exponent of contemporary jazz, Gee has been at the heart of the UK scene for two decades performing with his own groups and alongside leading lights such as saxophonists lain Ballamy and Ed Jones. And Jez Nelson profiles Uri Caine , the American pianist whose lightning technique and quick mind has enabled him to cross jazz and classical boundaries.
