In the last of Woody Allen 's series on New Orleans clarinet playing the film-maker looks at the work of Barney Bigard, Alphonse Picou and Mile Barnes.

Tchaikovsky had a special affection for Pushkin's tale of an innocent young girl callously rejected by a world-weary cynic. The score portrays not only the turmoil of Tatiana as she desperately writes to Onegin but also the cold, glittering world of 19th-century St Petersburg society.

An audio field-diary investigation into the history of radio enthusiasts and short-wave hobbyists recorded and assembled by David Ellis. Ellis follows the trail of one particular operator who was a teenager in 1957 when he exchanged cards with other hams to acknowledge the reception and sending of transmissions. Music by Richard Kilgour with additional material by Jo Thomas.

Verity Sharp presents a concert recorded at the start of the month by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Pierre-Andre Valade , with a focus on Scottish composers: Stuart MacRae 's The Witch's Kiss, Gordon MacPherson 's Handguns -A Suite, Jennifer Martin 's Hearing Pictures, and the world premiere of a BBC commission, Edward Harper 's Elegy for
