Live from the Barbican, a concert of music by Morton Feldman - an extraordinary figure in American music, associated with such musical figures as John Cage and Christian Wolff , and with the painters Mark Rothko and Jackson Pollock.
Tonight's works are from the later part of his life: Rothko Chape/was a tribute to Rothko after his suicide in 1970 and Feldman's last orchestral work,

John Taylor Double Bill. This week's show celebrates two anniversaries: the 60th birthday of one of jazz's leading lights, and Jazz on 3's 200th programme. British pianist John Taylor plays with two different groups - his new piano trio and the Creative Jazz Orchestra. Taylor's trio comprises the all-star American rhythm section of drummer Joey Baron and bassist Marc Johnson. The Creative Jazz Orchestra perform Taylor's specially commissioned compositions and features such noted players as Julian Arguelles , Oren Marshal and lain Dixon.
